Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution

Bearing in mind that disputes are inevitable in any relationship which takes place over a considerable period of time, we endeavor to promptly resolve such disputes with the minimum disruption to the relationship and transaction(s).

In the first instance we undertake informal negotiations, consequently we advise on the most desirable of the alternative dispute resolution methods (arbitration, conciliation and mediation) and provide adequate representation for our clients in the issues involved.

If litigation is inevitable, we will draw on the experience garnered from having appeared at all levels of superior courts of record in Nigeria and handled matters from courts of first instance to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Nigeria, with those cases covering all areas of law including contractual disputes, carriage by air and sea, insurance, intellectual property and personal injury claims.

As dispute advisers we therefore advise and represent clients in litigation and dispute resolution, as a proactive step we further advice on compliance initiatives and dispute avoidance.
